Creatinekinase(CK) is anenzyme, which consists of isoenzymes mainly of the muscle (CK-M) And the brain(CK-B). CK exists in serum in dimeric form as CK-MM, CK-MB, and CK-BB and as macroenzyme. Determination of CK-MB values possesses highly specificity in myocardial damages.So,measure ment of CK-MB is used for diagnosis and monitoring of myocardial infarction.
